Boots, Bulls, and Brookside Ave: A Night at the Sheriff’s Rodeo
If you swung by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Rodeo last fall, you might have caught a glimpse of our crew under the Saint Moore Insurance tent — boots dusty, smiles wide, and a cold drink never too far away.
2025 was our first year sponsoring a tent at the rodeo, and honestly? It was a blast. Three nights of PRCA-sanctioned competition, packed grandstands, the smell of kettle corn drifting in the air, and that unmistakable energy you only get when bull riders, barrel racers, and local families all share the same patch of San Bernardino dirt.
Why we showed up
We’ve been a Redlands family for a long time — 1958, to be exact. Two generations of the Moore family have built this agency on a simple idea: insurance works best when it’s personal, local, and shows up when the community shows up.
So when the Sheriff’s Rodeo came around — a three-day event that pours every ticket dollar back into the Sheriff’s STAR Foundation and the at-risk kids it serves — we didn’t have to think twice. Backing first responders, supporting youth programs, and getting our boots a little dirty in the process? That’s the kind of community work we like.
What the tent looked like
- A cool spot to step out of the bleachers and say hello
- Cold waters and a few cowboy-themed giveaways
- A handful of friendly faces from the Saint Moore team — ready to talk insurance, ranch life, or just the action on the dirt
- And yes, a few business cards changed hands
The moments we’ll remember
Watching kids in oversized cowboy hats try mutton bustin’ for the first time. Standing for the patriotic opening ceremony and the tribute to law enforcement. Bumping into clients we’ve insured for fifteen, twenty years — now bringing their grandkids out to the rodeo.
That’s the stuff you can’t build with a marketing budget. That’s built over decades of being part of a place.
